GALACTEK® is a high efficiency, ultra-low use rate stimulant based on a proprietary blend of low molecular weight organic acids.

It enhances nutrient availability and moisture retention in soil, improving root development, nutrient uptake and plant health, helping crops thrive under stressful conditions to maximize yield potential. The product is registered as a soil amendment and can be applied to soil or foliage with excellent tank compatibility.

Features & Benefits

  • Contains 17% lactic acid and glycoside-based humectant in a proprietary formulation with low molecular weight organic acids (LMWOA).
  • Can be used through either soil or foliar application in various crops at ultra-low rates (1.5–5 fl.oz/acre).

Mode of Action

  • Increases nutrient availability and retention of moisture content in soil.
  • Improves root development, stress tolerance, and nutrient uptake.
  • LMWOAs in rhizosphere and plant tissue enhance resistance and detoxification mechanisms.
  • Phenolic compounds participate in defense mechanisms against stress.
  • Promotes soil health and a healthy microbiome.
  • Enhances root exudation, improving soil health and carbon in the rhizosphere.

Added Value

  • Helps crops thrive under stressful conditions, maximizing yield potential.
  • Improves soil health by increasing root exudates and nutrient availability.
  • Aids in root development, growth promotion, nutrient utilization and yield improvement.
  • Versatile soil amendment supporting plant growth and stress management.

General Information

GALACTEK™ is designed to aid in uniform germination, root development, and overcoming post-planting stress and improve nutrient availability and retention of moisture content in soil.

Recommended Rates

Soil application

In-Furrow or Banded at Planting or Side-Dress

Apply 1.5-3 fl. oz. per acre. A follow-up foliar application can be made during early vegetative growth stages.

Broadcast

Apply 3-5 fl. oz. per acre. Ensure sufficient rain or irrigation to place theproduct in the root zone.

Drip or Micro Irrigation

Apply 3-5 fl. oz. per acre. For soil application to irrigated crops, follow the same application schedule as described with foliar applications.

Foliar application

Vines

Apply 3 applications at 3-6 fl. oz. per acre respectively during pre-bloom vegetative stage, during flowering to cap fall, and again 21-28 days later (pre-veraison). Start at the low rate and increase the rate with each application as the foliage expands. For red table grape varieties, a fourth application can be made at the start of veraison at 5-6 fl. oz. per acre. A post-harvest application can be considered at 6 fl. oz. per acre within 2 weeks after harvest. Use a minimum water volume of 40 gallons per acre.

Deciduous Trees

Apply 3 applications at 3-5 fl. oz. per acre per application, starting at 50-100% bloom on pome fruit, or at 75-100% petal drop on stone fruit and nuts. Repeat 2 more applications with 21–28-day intervals. Start at the low rate and increase the rate with each application as the foliage expands. Do not apply closer than 1 month from harvest. A post-harvest application can be considered at 5 fl. oz. per acre within 2 weeks after harvest. Use a minimum water volume of 40 gallons per acre.

Citrus, Avocados, & Other Subtropical Trees

Apply 3-4 applications at 5.5 fl. oz. per acre, each starting at first growth flush in spring, 75-90% petal drop, and repeat with 28-day intervals up to 4 applications. Use a minimum water volume of 75 gallons per acre.

Berries And Small Fruits

Apply 2-4 fl. oz. per acre per application, 3-4 applications, 21-28-day intervals, during vegetative growth, early bloom, and after fruit set. Use a minimum water volume of 25 gallons per acre.

Non-Bearing Trees

Apply 6 fl. oz. per 100 gallons (0.05% v/v), 3-4 applications, 21-28-day intervals, starting within 2 weeks of spring flush.

Vegetables

Apply 1.5-4 fl. oz. per acre per application starting at the low rate and increasing the rate as the crop canopy grows, 3-5 applications, 21-28-day intervals, starting 14 days after germination or transplant, continuing through flowering and fruit development or tuber or bulb growth. Use a minimum water volume of 20 gallons per acre.

Vegetable Seedlings

Spray or drench vegetable seedlings twice with 14-day intervals prior to transplant with a solution of 7 fl. oz. per 100 gal (2 ml per gallon).

Row Crops

Apply 1.5-2 fl. oz. per acre during early vegetative growth. A second application at 2 fl. oz. per acre can be applied during flag leaf on cereals or at R1-R3 stages on flowering crops. Use a minimum water volume of 15 gallons per acre.
